IMA Team · Sports team app UI/UX case study | S2DO Media
LIVE ON IOS AND ANDROID

One app for the whole club. Coaches, players, parents.

Clubs were running on group texts, spreadsheets and word of mouth. IMA Team puts the organization, its calendar and its chats in one place. We designed the app end to end.

01 · WALK THE FLOW

Five tabs, and the org is the root of everything.

Organizations hold groups, groups hold people, and flashes are how anything gets announced. Every other tab reads off that structure. Tap through the real screens.

02 · THE CALLS THAT MATTERED

Leaders, co-leaders and fans in one interface.

1
Roles add controls, never a second app

Leader, co-leader and fan see the same organization card. The badge changes and a Start button appears. Nobody learns two layouts.

2
Two time zones, shown at once

Clubs travel and fans do not. Event details prints both zones side by side instead of converting silently and starting an argument.

3
Every empty and broken state drawn

No organization yet, no chats, message failed to send, upload pending, RSVP disabled. The unglamorous states got the same attention as the happy path.

03 · THE SYSTEM

Primitives, tokens, then screens. In that order.

04 · OUTCOME

Shipped, on both stores, and still there.

Two years on the same product, from first flows through iOS review to release. Teams coordinate in one place now instead of four group chats.

Organizations, calendar, chats, updates, profile

Five surfaces designed and specified for build on both platforms.

A real component library

Primitives, tokens, spacing, radius and shadow scales kept on their own style guide page.

Through App Store review

Review screens and store assets prepared as part of the same pass, so launch was not a scramble.

IMA Team is the client. Screens are captures of the shipped app. Organizations and people shown are real accounts inside it.
